Why You Need Adobe Reader
If I were to create
a file on my computer using software XYZ and then I sent it to you
or put it onto a Web site,
if you did not have software XYZ on your computer, then you would not be able
to read my document.
Realistically, we
can not all be expected to have a full complement of software on our
computers, especially when a single program such as XYZ could cost
hundreds of dollars.
Adobe Reader is
free. It is available to everyone and it allows everyone to share
documents.
If I change the
format of my file into one that Adobe Reader can handle, then you
will be able to open and read my document. PDF (Portable Document
Format) is the universal language of computer files and it is
precisely PDFs that Adobe Reader can open.
-
A tremendous
amount of information on the World Wide Web is only available as
PDF.
-
Many people
send their attachments in the form of PDF.
-
If you are keep
informed then you need to be able to open PDFs.
-
Therefore, you
need Adobe Reader.
